Our Custom designed billet handling systems to/from the shear guarantee an optimal cut of the billets and an orderly transfer of these from the bundle to the reheating furnace.

In the photos: a System built for the automation of an 800ton Erfurt billet shear.

In this case the length of the billets is reduced from 12m to 4mm.

The system is composed of:

The billets size from 6 mt to – 12 mt.

Charging table which size is 4 mt wide composed of:

                        - Set of welded steel structures

                        - Billet transfer unit with hydraulic unit and its hydraulic cylinders

B) ROLLER TABLE AT SHEAR ENTRANCE (NEW)

About 13 mt long and suitable for billets up to 12 mt length, composed of :

          - Set of welded steel structures for rollers

         - Set of roller for shear entrance with chains and its gearmotor

         - The roller table will be divided into 2 parts and each one with a separate

            motorization

C) MECHANICAL SHEAR ‘ERFURT’ 800 (COMPLETELY REVAMPED)

The shear is composed of a body steel strucure, with a drive unit, cluth and brake unit controlled by a shutter solenoid valves.

The cutting unit consisting of a knife holder moved by a rotating rod on eccentric shaft supported by bushing, slide of guide made of steel with bronze sliding part.

The billet clamping unit is positioned at the entrance of the machine.

           - Cold shear capacity 800 Ton.

    - Cold shear knife length 450  mm.

    - Stroke Sledge hammer 125  mm.

    - Strokes per min.16 

            - Continuos strokes per min. 20

    - Installed power 1x55 kW - AC motor

            - Machine Weight 31 Ton.

The machine completely revamped in all its parts, with replacement of bushings, bearings, gaskets brake and clutch linings, machine working of the hammer processing and related attached parts such as sleds with replacement of parts of bronze strip, eccentric shaft, connecting rod and gears for handling

D) ROLLER TABLE AT SHEAR EXIT (NEW)

It is about 12 m long and it is suitable for billets 6 m length, composed of :

- Set of welded steel structures;

- Set of roller for shear exit with chains and its gearmotor; The roller table will be divided into 2 parts and each one will have separate motorization, fixed stop

and disappearing stop;

- the first part of this exit roller table will be equipped with vertical basculating system needed by the cutting

E) BILLET DISCHARGING SYSTEM (NEW)

For unloading billets 6 m long and composed of:

                        - Billets pusher with n.2 hydraulic cylinder and its hydraulic power unit with solenoid valves and other accessories.

                        - Transfer unit with a lifting unit driven by hydraulic power unit

F) ELECTRICS (NEW)

Electrical panel for the control of the complete line consisting of:

- Electrical cabinet in IP 54 execution containing:

- Line switch;

- Inverter control for roller ways translation motors;

- CPU;

              - Series of relays for end limit switches and solenoid valves.

              - Series of inputs to the plc for protections and safety guards.

Control pulpit 

Lectern type complete with:

              - UNIOP operator panel, emergency points,

              - Automatic and manual selectors
